Από τη Διεύθυνση Μεταφορών & Επικοινωνιών Π.Ε. Ηρακλείου ανακοινώνεται ότι, οι
εξετάσεις της Α΄ περιόδου 2019 για την απόκτηση Πτυχίου Ραδιοερασιτέχνη, θα διενεργηθούν
στις 08 Μαΐου 2019 σε αίθουσα του κτιρίου της Υπηρεσίας.

Whidbey Ham Radio Club
Club to talk endurance
The Whidbey Ham Radio Club will be featuring a presentation on tracking on Saturday during its monthly meeting.
The presentation will include a group of Island County Ham Radio operators who helped to provide communication in remote areas for the “Bigfoot 200” annual 200-mile endurance race. The Big Foot 200, part of the “triple crown” of endurance races, attracts hundreds of athletes competing on rugged terrain in the Mount St. Helen’s Volcanic Monument area.
As a part of their training for emergency preparedness, a group of amateur radio operators from Whidbey Island traveled south to spend five days in the wilderness to provide safety and emergency communications for the participants.

Connecting To The Magic Of Wireless With Ham Radio
The Moapa Valley Amateur Radio Club will be offering testing for those interested in obtaining their Technician license; or in upgrading an existing license; on Saturday January 19. Testing will take place at the Old Logandale School at 3011 N Moapa Valley Blvd beginning at 10:00 AM. The testing fee is $15.00.
Those wishing to take the test should bring cash and also bring a state issued Identification, your Social Security number or FCC Registration Number (FRN).

Hamfest will be held on October 6, 2019. Come explore new radios, antennas and test equipment. You'll also find wire, cable, connectors, computers, peripherals and software, CB equipment and much more. It'll include seminars, license test session, live demonstrations, door prizes and food. Hours: 7am-2pmHam radio classes to start Jan. 19
This runs for 8 weeks from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be a break during the class for lunch. Attendees can either bring a sack lunch or run into the village for a sandwich. Classes will be at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, 224 E. Main St., Springville.
The class is free, but you will need the current study guides for each level. General books will run $25 and Extra books will run $30 and can be purchased at class.
